Anita Woolfolk Hoyreceived her BA Magna Cum Laude in 1969 from the University of Texas at Austin, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. In 1972 she was awarded a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the same university. From 1973 to 1993 she was on the faculty of the Department of Educational Psychology (Chair 1990-1993) of the Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University. Currently she is a Professor in the College of Education, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.
