Amilcar Sebastian Mercado is an associate professor of French and English as a second language, and Spanish writing for native speakers, at Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio in Madrid. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in applied linguistics.Jean Yates has taught Spanish at universities and community colleges and to adult groups in the Washington, D.C., area for more than 10 years.
