Sidney O. Dewberry, PE, LS, is Chairman Emeritus and Founder of Dewberry, a multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, surveyÂing, and planning firm headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia. Sid Dewberry launched the company in April 1956, after earning an engineering degree at George Washington University and gaining hands-on experience working for local land developers in the nation's capital. In 2012, he stepped down from his role as Chairman of the Board, passing the baton to his son Barry, and, in 2021, Sid Dewberry marked his 65th year with the 2,000+-person, 50+-location firm, to which he still contributes his efforts daily.
