Description:

It's 1804, and sixteen-year-old George Shannon couldn't be more eager for adventure. So when he's offered a spot on the famed Lewis and Clark expedition -- a perilous trek across the wild, uncharted continent of North America -- he can't wait to be on his way. But treacherous rock-infested waters, bear attacks, Indian war parties, and a shocking discovery all await him on his passage west. Based on the true story of George Shannon, this fictionalized journal brings to life the struggle and the excitement of his actual experience.
