Actor and narrator Alexander Scourby was born on November 13, 1913 in Brooklyn, New York. Scourby appeared in more than 20 movies and made numerous television appearances, but is better known for his vocal work. He narrated several movies and more than 500 audiobooks, including a perennially bestselling edition of the King James Version of the Bible. Scourby died on February 22, 1985.
