It will only help you out in the long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are six easy tips for an easier spring semester:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1.<\/strong> <strong>Buy a Planner<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you didn\u2019t use a planner last semester and struggled to keep up with your schoolwork (or your final grades were nothing to text home about) buy one now. Planners help you manage your time and are in-your-face reminders of your schoolwork, tests, projects, and appointments. There are a few different <a href=\"https:\/\/personalplannerforme.com\/types-of-planners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">types<\/a> of planners \u2013 daily, weekly, bullet journals &#8211; so do a little research while you have some free time over the break to figure out which one you\u2019d prefer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you did use a physical planner faithfully last semester\u2026for one week only, try going digital. You might enjoy using it more, especially if you\u2019re already a tablet lover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For my digital planner, I used:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>My iPad Pro (but any tablet will do)<\/li><li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodnotes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Goodnotes<\/a> app<\/li><li>Apple Pencil<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/search?q=digital%20planners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Etsy<\/a> to pick out my digital planner file<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A digital planner is a little more involved, as opposed to just purchasing a physical planner, but it\u2019s kind of cool to <a href=\"https:\/\/plannerbosscollective.com\/how-to-create-and-use-a-digital-planner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">create<\/a> and gives you something to do over your break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2.<\/strong> <strong>Download Study Apps<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For improved grades next semester and better writing and study results, take this time to load your phone up with some of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textbookrush.com\/blog\/post\/4-great-study-apps-for-college-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">our favorite study apps.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3.<\/strong> <strong>Buy Organizational Supplies<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your desk looked a little chaotic last semester and all pens, pencils and important notes frequently went missing for medium (but frustrating) periods of time, pick up a couple of items that will prevent disarray next semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few of my favorite organizational supplies for keeping a desk in order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/iGotTech-Cable-Clips-Management-System\/dp\/B00V3KM73E\/ref=sr_1_13?dchild=1&amp;keywords=cord+organizer+colored&amp;qid=1609882580&amp;sr=8-13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Cord Organizers<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Expanding-Pockets-Accordion-Document-Organizer\/dp\/B01KXPK74U\/ref=sr_1_33_sspa?dchild=1&amp;keywords=blue+expandable+folder&amp;qid=1609882726&amp;s=office-products&amp;sr=1-33-spons&amp;psc=1&amp;spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyWE9MTDlYREQzWUJHJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODAxNjkzMzlNNjVXOTMyMEFFRSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjAzNDczM0U5NzRGTEJMVzBHRCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2J0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Expandable Folders<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Bigso-Oskar-Document-Letter-Storage\/dp\/B014HY1Y90\/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&amp;keywords=paper+storage+boxes&amp;qid=1609882783&amp;s=office-products&amp;sr=1-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Storage Boxes for Notes and Supplies<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/SanDisk-Cruzer-128GB-Flash-SDCZ36-128G-B35\/dp\/B001XURP8G\/ref=sr_1_24?dchild=1&amp;keywords=organize%2Bcollege&amp;qid=1609882875&amp;s=office-products&amp;sr=1-24&amp;th=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Flash Drives<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Jerry-Maggie-Organizer-Adjustable-Birthday\/dp\/B078CQX2V5\/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&amp;keywords=desk+organizer+cute&amp;qid=1609883043&amp;sr=8-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Desktop Organizer<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4.<\/strong> <strong>Make a Schedule<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A consistent schedule helps you feel more in control of your life and helps you remain on task. Just make sure you build a schedule that works for YOU. Use the fall semester as a guide. Did you feel your most productive after everyone in your household went to sleep? Then schedule some late-evening study sessions into your planner. Want to schedule a workout routine around your classes, but one that you\u2019ll stick to? If you struggled to get out of bed last semester, stop trying to hit the gym at sunrise. Schedule your workouts during lunch or in the evenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As your new classes unfold, you can add to your schedule. Just remember to stick to the same weekly or monthly routine for the entirety of the semester. Doing so will help you build good habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5.<\/strong> <strong>Learn to Budget<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Not sure where all your money went last semester? It\u2019s time to take your first step towards managing your finances and use some time over the break to learn to budget. And by learn I mean download an app and let the app budget for you. A budget helps you understand where exactly your money is disappearing to each month. It also helps you set financial goals, helps you avoid eating ramen every day because you overspent on Destiny expansions, and (hopefully) helps you save money in the future. Again, the easiest way to do this is to use a budgeting app on your phone. <a href=\"https:\/\/mint.intuit.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mint<\/a> is my favorite, but if you\u2019re looking for a more manual way to budget, College Info Geek has a great <a href=\"https:\/\/collegeinfogeek.com\/budgeting-for-college-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">article<\/a> on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6.<\/strong> <strong>Buy Your Textbooks (on TextbookRush)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I know you hate using your hard-earned money to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textbookrush.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">buy textbooks<\/a>, but you\u2019re only doing your bank account a disservice if you wait until the very last minute (like after classes start) to buy them.
