He is president of the St. Marks Refuge Association and leads frequent field trips into this wildlife refuge. He teaches adult leisure courses on the wildlife of Floridarsquo;s Big Bend area and often speaks to groups such as the Florida Native Plant Society, the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, and the Florida Trail Association. He is a Florida native, has a Ph.D. in adult education from Florida State University, and lives and works in Tallahassee, Florida.
