This CD-ROM contains five related sets of data, linked by compatible industry lists based upon the International Standard Industrial Classification Revision 3 (ISIC Rev.3):STAN Industry presents, from 1970 onwards, 30 annual measures covering output, labour input, investment and international trade for 30 OECD countries and 107 industrial activities and assorted aggregates. It is primarily based on Member countries annual National Accounts by activity tables and draws on data from other sources, such as national industrial surveys/censuses to estimate missing detail, where this is considered sufficiently reliable. STAN Industry is updated on a regular basis.STAN R D (ANBERD) provides annual… estimates of industrial Research and Development (R D) expenditures data from 1987 to 2007 for the OECD countries and some non-OECD Members Economies, and covers 57 industrial activities. STAN R D is updated on an annual basis..STAN Bilateral Trade Database ( STAN BTD ) consists of estimates of exports and imports of goods for OECD countries, broken down by 70 partner countries (or geographical areas) and 43 industrial activities. The time-period covered is 1988-2008, except for a few declaring countries whose data start later than 1988. Exports and imports have been converted from the OECD s product based International Trade by Commodities Statistics (ITCS) using a standard conversion key and are presented in thousands of US dollars at current prices; they can be converted to national currencies using an exchange rate matrix included in the application. STAN BTD is updated about every year.STAN Indicators combines STAN Industry, STAN R D and STAN BTD and presents 36 annual measures related to international trade, industrial composition, business enterprise R D, employment and productivity. They highlight trends in industrial structure and performance for OECD countries as well as for selected country groups such as OECD, EU, G7, NAFTA etc. Series are from 1970 onwards and cover 94 industrial activities. STAN Indicators are updated about twice a year and complement the biennial publication Science, Technology and Industry Scoreboard . .OECD Input-Output Tables consist of matrices of inter-industrial transaction flows of goods and services (domestically produced and imported) in current prices, for 31 OECD countries and 12 non-member countries covering 41 ISIC Rev.3 industries.The STAN Industry, STAN R D, STAN BTD and STAN Indicators data sets are presented in a query-based tool Beyond 2020 for Windows, which allows users to extract and export data, prepare customized graphs and tables and perform simple analyses. All data sets are available as sets of Excel tables.
