R. Hrair Dekmejian is a professorof political science and internationalbusiness at the University of SouthernCalifornia. His specialties includecomparative political violence, MiddleEast/Islamic studies, political elites,multinational business and politics,U.S. foreign policy, the politicaleconomy of oil, and comparative ethnicpolitics. Professor Dekmejian hasappeared as a commentator on worldaffairs on radio and television and isquoted in major newspapers andpublications. A U.S. Army veteran,Dekmejian has served as a consultantto various agencies including theDepartment of State, the U.S.Information Agency, and theDepartment of Defense. He is theauthor of numerous books andarticles… including Islam in Revolution;Troubled Waters: The Geopolitics ofthe Caspian Region; and The JustPrince: A Manual of Leadership.
