Poems veer from Irish cliffs, to American hospitals, to European street corners with gentle ironic wordplay, gravitas, and revelation.Theodore Deppe, a Hoosier, has received a Pushcart Prize, two NEA grants, and has been writer-in-residence at James Merrill House in Connecticut, Poets' House in Donegal, Ireland, and Phillips Academy in Massachusetts. Deppe received a BA from Earlham College, a BS in nursing from Berea, and an MFA in creative writing from Vermont College. He is widely published in journals, including Poetry, Harper's Magazine, and The Kenyon Review.
