Annette Lynch is a Professor of Textiles and Apparel and the Director of the Center for Violence Prevention at the University of Northern Iowa. She has published two books with Berg: Dress, Gender and Cultural Change, 1999; and Changing Fashion: A Critical Introduction to Trend Analysis and Meaning, 2007. Nicola Steffen was brought up in Germany where she studied English, Art and Education. She currently lives in the UK where she works as an artist under the pseudonym of Nicola Bockelmann'.
