Jos Luis Gonzlez-Balado is originally from Soutelo (Orense). He has lived, studied and worked as a journalist and an editorial technician in various European countries, until his return to Spain in 1973. A prolific author and expert on religious themes, one of his most well-known biographies is Mother Teresa of Calcutta, with whom he enjoyed a long friendship with and who also contributed to the book. His books and articles on Mother Teresa have been translated into more than a dozen languages.
