Since 1999, Janet Salmons has served on the graduate faculty of the Capella University School of Business, where she enjoys working with emerging researchers as a dissertation mentor. She was honored with the Harold Abel Distinguished Faculty Award for 2011-2012 and the Steven Shank Recognition for Teaching in 2012 and 2013. She is an independent researcher, writer and consultant through her company, Vision2Lead, Inc .. Dr. Salmons edited the Cases in Online Interview Research (2012) and wrote Online Interviews in Real Time (2010) for SAGE Publications, as well as numerous articles and book chapters. Dr. Salmons received a B.S. in Adult and Community Education from Cornell University; an… M.A. in Social Policy Studies from Empire State College, a distance-learning institution in the SUNY system; and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies (meshing educational, technology, and leadership studies) at the Union Institute and University. She lives and works in Boulder, Colorado.
