Mr. Lachman has enjoyed a 30-year distinguished career as an American diplomat, international attorney, author, land developer, residential builder, and real estate fund executive. Over his career he has worked with some of the largest companies in the world. As a diplomat, he has conducted negotiations on behalf of the United States government in Turkey, Greece, and over forty other countries around the globe. Currently, Mr. Lachman is Special Counsel on Foreign Law and a partner of Lachman & Yeniaras, an Istanbul-based legal consultancy. While living in Washington, DC, Mr. Lachman was an associate professor of International Real Estate at the Johns Hopkins University, teaching a graduate… level course in International Real Estate Investment and Development in Emerging Markets. A guest lecturer at Georgetown and Columbia universities, he has also served as an International Real Estate Consultant to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Poland, assisting with their acquisitions and disposals in the U.S. and throughout the world. He has been a contributing journalist for the Hurriyet Daily News & Economic Review and is author of the books, Real Estate Investment, Development, and Law in Emerging Markets published by PEI Media of London, UK and Beating the Alternative published by Amazon. Mr. Lachman holds a JD from the University Of Denver College Of Law and a B.A. from Duke University.
