Mauro and Beverly DiVieste live in Ohio with their two children Madalena and Michael. They met at their alma mater, Kent State University where Mauro studied Art and Beverly a communications major. Together they tell a story that is very personal to them as their son Michael was diagnosed as autistic at age four. Both Beverly & Mauro elected to set the story as Madalena giving the explanation to her class about life with an autistic brother. The goal is to educate children on the differences and give an idea of what the world is like to families that deal with autism.
