Monica Kenia Lopez is a professional journalist with a B.A. in Communications from Havana University since 1974, which developed a successful career as press reporter, radio scriptwriter, and marketing specialist. Exercising her career, she also created, wrote and published for 5 years a 48-page 4-color magazine. Finishing the 90's decade, she worked as independent journalist against the Cuban regimen, defending her country's Human Rights under the nickname of Monike de Motas, which gained international notoriety for her truth's love and direct prose.Beginning the present century, she received asylum in U.S. as she was under political prison's risk, having to destroy a long novel about… undercover operations and a couple of shorter pieces that never were known.Actually, she is a freelance writer and a Spanish translator located in South Florida.
