Fundamentals of Psychological Assessment and Report Writingoutlines a step-by-step model of assessment, created for instructing students in psychological assessment and comprised of five components: understanding the context of a referral, determining what data is needed to answer referral questions, gathering the data, integrating the data, and communicating findings. Theauthors reviews each of these components at length, providing how-to instructions each step of the way and alerting readers to a myriad of issues they must consider in conducting assessments in clinical, forensic, or educational environments. Case examples are varied to promote interest and meet instructional requirements, and readers are encouraged through sidebars and question-and-answer sections to consider their own case material and use critical thinking skills as they review each section of the model. Features and Benefits:+Integrates the review of measures of assessment with applied advice on how to write the reports that relate to them.+A step-by-step approach guides the organization of material, providing students with information in a logical sequence that will mirror their real-world experience.+Provides historical perspectives in the first chapter and includes coverage of ethical, diversity, and multicultural issues encountered in assessment. +Presents information that will be relevant to a wide range of mental health professionals who conduct assessments.+Accompanied by ancillary materials that instructors can download from Sage's ftp site.
