Diann S. Gregory, B.S.N., M.S.Ed., ARNP, CNM, LCCE, has devoted more than 36 years to the nursing field as a staff nurse, patient educator, clinical specialist, author, and educator. Her career began in the Army Nurse Corps as an operating room nurse in Viet Nam, where she received a bronze star for her work in surgery and volunteer work at the local orphanage. Gregory recently retired after 21 years as a full-time educator, including 12 years at Miami Dade College, where her peers awarded her the college's highest honor for professors, the three-year Endowed Teaching Chair. She has also won or been a finalist for several national awards for teaching, service, and learning resource… development, including recognition by the National League for Nursing for an innovative video teaching program she created. Gregory's interactive virtual practice programs are frequently presented at national conferences to demonstrate best practices, and she has developed interactive case studies used by universities throughout Canada.
