The Librarian reported contributions for the past month: two bound volumes, nine pamphlets and seven articles for the museum. Special attention was called to the printed account of the exercises at the placing of the bronze tablet marking the site of the schoolhouse where John Adams taught, which were held under the auspices of the Colonel Timothy Bigelow… Chapter D. A. R, and by which organization a copy of the proceedings had been presented to the Society. The Librarian also mentioned a rare gift, from Ellen and Albert D. Flagg, of a fine Old ax wheel with set of wool cards, also a hatchel, all of which are more than one hundred years old, and evidently have been used in the Flagg family for several generations. The Standing Committee placed in nomination the names of Charles B. Gates, Charles E. Bond and Miss Caroline Manly, and they were elected to active membership.
