Dr Rajesh Kumar completed his PhD in the area of running-in and steady state wear processes in 2002 from IIT Delhi. He participates in collaborative tribochemistry research with IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Other research interests cover MEMS, probabilistic machine design, optimization, and DOE. He is life member of Tribology Society of India, actively involved in tribology, DOE and optimization research. Dr Kumar's work on estimation of wear coefficient in a short duration test of real engines under lubricating condition was appreciated by tribologists in an International Conference, ICIT 2006, at IISc Bangalore and received best paper award.
