Captain Preston Pysh has been a military leader for the last ten years and graduated from West Point with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Upon graduation, he attended flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama, where he became rated in the AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopter. After flight training, Captain Pysh was assigned to the 1-2 Attack Aviation Battalion at Camp Eagle, South Korea. While stationed in Korea, he worked as an Attack Platoon Leader, Battalion Adjutant, and Assistant Operations Officer. Upon completion of his first overseas tour of duty, Captain Pysh attended the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and was then stationed at Fort… Campbell, Kentucky. Once assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, he served as the Aviation Operations Battle Captain in Operation Enduring Freedom IX in Bagram Afghanistan. Following a successful combat deployment, Captain Pysh was then assigned as the A Company, 1-101st AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopter Company Commander during a second year deployment for Operation Enduring Freedom X-XI. Captain Pysh’s company was directly responsible for the aerial security of the prominent Operation Dragon Strike mission in Kandahar city. His company performed some of the most kinetic enemy strikes during the nation’s most intense fighting in Afghanistan.Captain Pysh is married to his lovely wife, Demi, and they proudly raise their two nieces, Kelly and Jenny.
