Lowell Lawson is a resident of Hickory Flat, Georgia. He moved to Georgia in 1994. An ordained minister, he is a graduate of Gannon University, Tulane University, and the United States Army Command and General Staff College. He served thirty-nine years of active and reserve military service in the United States Army, retiring at the rank of colonel. He and his wife, Ann, completed thirty-seven years of service as Southern Baptist missionaries in 1997.A lifetime sports enthusiast, Lowell became involved in sports in Cherokee County soon after his arrival in Georgia. He organized the Cherokee Senior Softball Association in 1994. He also organized the Cherokee County Senior Sports, Leisure,… and Wellness Program.
