John S. Kloppenborg is Professor and Chair of the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto. Recent publications include (with Richard S. Ascough), Attica, Central Greece, Macedonia, Thrace, Vol. 1 of 'Greco-Roman Associations: Texts, Translations, and Commentary' (2011) and Q, The Earliest Gospel: An Introduction to the Original Sayings and Stories of Jesus (2008).

Stephen J. Patterson, Ph.D., is George H. Atkinson Professor of Religious and Ethical Studies at Willamette University, author of Beyond the Passion: Rethinking the Death and Life of Jesus , and coauthor of The Fifth Gospel: The Gospel of Thomas Comes of Age .

Marvin Meyer is one of the foremost scholars on early Christianity and texts about Jesus outside the New Testament. He is Griset Professor of Bible and Christian Studies at Chapman University in Orange, California.
