Hank Bruce is an award winning author and horticultural therapist, who leads workshops and seminars on accessible gardening and the value of the people-plant connection for activity professionals and community organizations. Books he has written include Gardens for the Senses, Gardening as Therapy (a "why to" garden book, rather than just a "how to,") and numerous other gardening/horticultural therapy project books, such as Windowsill Whimsy and Along the Garden Path. Another collection of short stories, Peace Beyond All Fear, a Tribute to John Denver's Vision, inspired by John Denver's music and humanitarian work, won Best Anthology of 1998 from the New Mexico Book Cooperative.
