Author Jameson Taylor is a graduate of Vanguard University (Southern California Bible College). He earned a degree in Pastoral Ministries, and he worked closely with Vanguard's retired Chair of the Department of Religion and Greek on this project. Mr. Taylor is a member of the Taylor family of Mt. Airy, North Carolina, and is a distant cousin of actor Andy Griffith. As a teen, Jameson Taylor was fortunate to play baseball in leagues with future NFL Hall of Famer's Anthony Munoz and Ronnie Lott and Cincinnati Reds pitcher & Christian radio host, Frank Pastore. During his undergraduate days, Jameson Taylor was a classmate of Dr. Jonathan L. Reed, the distinguished Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins at the University of La Verne and world renowned Biblical archaeologist, best known for his on-air analysis for National Geographic and Discovery Channel documentaries on the Bible and the life of Jesus. Mr. Taylor has had the pleasure of working with actor Kevin Costner, Director Kevin Reynolds and Academy Award winning cinematographer Dean Semler of "Dances with Wolves" fame. As a child, Mr. Taylor received his "15 minutes of fame" as a guest on the Art Linkletter show, "House Party." Taylor is married with four children. He and his family raise seeing-eye dogs for Guide Dogs for the Blind. He loves golf, NASCAR and is an avid sports fan. He was raised in the Catholic, Episcopal and Pentecostal faith traditions. Presently, he makes an Evangelical Christian congregation his church home. Mr. Taylor is a fan of the Imus Ranch for children with cancer, and Richard and Lynda Petty's Victory Junction Gang for sick children.
