Curtis W. Ellison, general editor, is a professor of history and American studies and director of the William Holmes McGuffey Museum at Miami University. He is the author ofCountry Music Culture: From Hard Times to Heaven, coeditor of Donald Davidsonrsquo;sThe Big Ballad Jamboree, and coauthor of two studies of nineteenth-century African American novelists.
