A former Latin drop-out (after three years of high-school Latin), B. Kay Neal remained an admirer of the language and as an adult decided to devote herself to promoting to a mainstream audience the joys of knowing at least some Latin. She returned to university for two more degrees: a bachelor’s in classics and a master’s in Latin. Kay Neal believes that any hour devoted to the study of Latin will repay the diligent student many times over in saved effort in future studying. She also believes that if people who consider themselves ordinary gave themselves a chance to study Latin, they would find delight in their rising self-confidence to take on difficult material and master it… and in the knowledge of English that they gained as well. This is her second book.
