Focusing on how consulting is accomplished, this practical book provides a comprehensive and balanced overview of the practice and theory of consultation. Dougherty presents a generic model for application, surveys various approaches to consultation, discusses the organizational context of consultation, and reviews the many ethical and professional issues consultants face. Following this book's structure, readers learn to develop their own personal model of consultation.
