Description: Fix It in Post is the guide for those left to finish the director's vision for a scene. Author Lee Lanier taps his own experience, as well as the skill sets of dozens of other professionals, to provide the latest techniques for digital compositing on topics such as transformations, plate preparation, rotoscoping, advanced render passes, particle integration, 2.5D painting, HDRI, stereoscopy and more. This book targets the trouble spots for today's digital compositor, who has to know a lot of different techniques with a variety of software in an industry that's constantly changing. It includes professional-level tutorials with support materials from the DVD (scenes, sample bitmaps, image sequences), as well as full-color images to fully embody the techniques. Fix It In Post provides concepts and tactics that can apply to most digital compositing software, and will illustrate key techniques using popular software applications such as After Effects, Combustion, Nuke, Shake, Fusion, and Cineon.
