The fourth edition will be completely updated including performance characteristics for both off-road and on-road vehicles; coverage of steering of tracked vehicles and vehicle ride characteristics, the impact of computer-aided methods for design and performance analysis, and hybrid electric drives and operating principles. Because the book contains large numbers of examples and problems focused on applying the underlying theory it serves as both a upper level undergraduate/graduate text in mechanical engineering and as a self-study professional reference. As with previous editions Wong will produce an expanded solutions manual with solutions to the numerous problems and examples contained in the book.
