David R. Hanlon is a Professor at St. Louis Community College, where he leads instruction in photography and photographic history. He has exhibited his photographs both regionally and nationally for the past thirty years, and has created several bodies of work using paper negatives. David also worked for over a decade as the chief photographer at archaeological excavations in the Middle East and in the Republic of Macedonia. His essays and book reviews on aspects of nineteenth century photography have been published in exhibition catalogs and numerous journals. David has inventoried and recorded several large institutional photographic collections and currently serves on the Board of… Directors for the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum.
