Attorney Gerry Spence was born in Wyoming and educated at the University of Wyoming. Spence served two terms as a county prosecutor, ran for Congress as a right-wing Republican in 1962, and practiced courtroom law for 25 years without a defeat. After he evaluated what was important to him, Spence founded Trial Lawyer's College, which trains young lawyers to beat corporate bigshots in the courtroom. He also founded Lawyers and Advocates for Wyoming, which specializes in public interest cases.
