Howard Harrison was born on the outskirts of London, and now lives with his wife in Australia in a small country town in western New South Wales. Howard has lived in many parts of the world, gaining experience in various occupations including successful self employed businessman, soldier, public speaker, entertainer, senior executive and small business educator. Howard has worked with many governments at all levels, and enjoys a healthy cynicism of bureaucratic and political systems. Howard has authored six detective fiction novels featuring the main character of his Detective Chief Inspector Harrigan. While continuing to write the Harrigan series, in a determined effort to ensure his mind… and stories remain fresh, he made the conscious decision to venture into a different genre. He chose fantasy not only because of the freedom of expression it provides, but also the opportunity for a hint of social commentary without the bias, anger and narrow-mindedness so common in today's society.
