Sammler is Chair of the Department of Technical Design and Production at Yale School of Drama.

Harvey came to the Yale School of Drama's Technical Design and Production Department as a student in 1982 and has been on the faculty since he graduated in 1985. Now Technical Director for the Drama Department and the Department's unofficial scribe, he teaches Technical Writing and Computer Applications for Technical Managers.
