His academic work focuses on the idea of freedom, political and economic philosophy, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility. Professor Dierksmeier has done research in Europe, the US and Latin America (Uruguay, Argentina), and has worked as a strategy consultant in politics and business (e.g. for the Strategy Institute of the Boston Consulting Group).
