Nikhat Khan has an MS c in Physics from Punjab University in 1973. She obtained an MS (Physics) from Indiana University, USA in 1979, and was awarded a PhD in Molecular Science from Southern Illinois University, USA, in 1989. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, where she was head of the Physics Department. At present, she is Dean of the Postgraduate Department.
