Description:

A sophisticated introduction to social research methods, this text provides a comprehensive, balanced treatment of four major research approaches: experimentation, survey research, field research, and the use of available data. Extensive updated examples and a clear exposition make complex issues accessible to students with no background in social research. New chapters address emerging technologies and the Internet. An instructor's manual will accompany the text.
