Robert Gauldin, professor of music theory at the Eastman School of Music, is the author of A Practical Approach to Sixteenth-Century Counterpoint and A Practical Approach to Eighteenth-Century Counterpoint.nbsp; He has contributed to many scholarly journals, including Music Theory Spectrum and the Journal of Music Theory Pedagogy, and served as president of the Society for Music Theory from 1992-1993.
