Wendy Wasserstein was born in Brooklyn & raised in Manhattan. She received a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College & an M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama. She is the author of such plays as "Uncommon Women & Others... " "The Heidi Chronicles", "Isn't It Romantic", "The Sisters Rosensweig", & "An American Daughter". She is a frequent contributor to the "New York Times", "The New Yorker", & was a contributing editor to "Harper's Bazaar". Wendy Wasserstein lives in New York City with her daughter, Lucy Jane.
