Scottie Smith teaches AP Environmental Science and Anatomy and Physiology at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida. She received a BS in Microbiology from Auburn University and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Infectious Disease from Texas A&M University. She has been an AP ES Reader since 1998, a Table Leader since 2002, and is also a College Board Consultant. She has taught environmental science courses in high school and college for 15 years. She is very involved in the Envirothon, North America's largest environmental competition, and has led excursions to Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, and the Florida Keys.
