Kimberly Persiani-Becker, Ed.D., is a tenured professor of Curriculum and Instruction at California State University, Los Angeles, teaching courses in classroom design and management, classroom discipline, English language acquisition and multicultural children's literature. She presents at local and international conferences for bilingual education, children's literature, gender equity and moral and character education.Steve Springeris a fulltime classroom teacher with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, with a special focus on the arts throughout the subject areas and the incorporation of technology into the curriculum. He also presents at bilingual conferences, new teacher conferences and regularly attends children's literature conferences. He has written and/or illustrated six McGraw-Hill titles.

Dr. Kimberly Persiani-Becker (Los Angeles, CA) is an Asst Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at Cal State University. She lectures frequently at national teacher’s conferences in the US and Canada. Steve Springer and Brandy Alexander (Los Angeles, CA) are both mentors and master teachers with years of classroom experience in both private and public schools. Springer has worked in the Los Angeles school district for 16 years and has developed and implemented many training programs within the district; Alexander recently received a "Golden Apple" award for his classroom excellence. This will be their fourth book for McGraw-Hill.

Brandy Alexanderhas his Master’s in Fine Arts from CSU, Los Angeles which lends itself to creative classroom instruction and pedagogy. Brandy is a full time classroom teacher in Los Angeles and a part-time faculty member at CSULA where he teaches courses on classroom design, student teaching portfolio preparation, and serves as a master teacher for student teachers, while also presenting at new teacher conferences from year-to-year. Kimberly Persiani-Becker, Ed.D., is an associate professor at California State University, Los Angeles in the area of curriculum and instruction. She presents at local and international conferences for bilingual education, children’s literature, gender equity and moral and character education.
