Janice Terry is Professor of History at Eastern Michigan University with a specialty in the modern Middle East. She received her Ph.D. history from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She is the author of The Wafd, 1919-1952: Cornerstone of Egyptian Political Power and Mistaken Identity: Arab Stereotypes in Popular Writing and has contributed to numerous anthologies and journals. She is also the co-editor of The Arab Studies Quarterly and has lived and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and Africa.
