Karla Dehlavi was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1991. When she was seven, her parents immigrated to the United States. Growing up near Los Angeles, California, she began receiving recognition by her teachers for her various pieces of writing, ranging from short stories and plays, to poetry. At nine years old, she was featured for her writing in the LA Times' "101 Remarkable Young People" special. During this time, she also began playing tennis competitively, reaching the top 100 regionally in her age division.After graduating Jr. High, her parents moved again, this time to Barcelona, Spain. First living by the coast, and later near the French border where she enjoyed living a secluded life… amongst nature. During her time in Barcelona, she continued competing in tennis and also traveled to various countries in Europe, including Italy, France, and the U.K.At 16 she finished high school and her parents once again relocated, to Tenerife, Canary Islands, where she temporarily resides.
