The 18 Year Plan is authored by Jeanne L. Stark, LMSW. She is a master's prepared licensed social worker whose passion is the development of healthy children. Her clinical social work position, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, offers ample opportunities to see first hand the effects of parenting on the foundations of life. She developed the philosophy of The 18 Year Plan while raising her own children and is now sharing her philosophy of child-rearing with others so they may also know the joys of parenting. Jeanne is the mother of two successful adult children and continues to be involved in guiding the development of her step-children. She also has been blessed to be a grandmother while still… being a granddaughter herself. This unique perspective of being mentored by parents and grandparents while at the same time mentoring children and grandchildren gives Jeanne a depth of insight into how families shape the future.
