Description:

Jane Grey, Queen of England . . . I had freckles. I had sandy hair. I was too short. Would my feet even touch the ground if I sat on the throne? Lady Jane Grey never wanted to be queen, but she was swept up in events beyond her control. A political pawn of great value, with no power over her own destiny, she would become Queen of England for only nine days before being beheaded at the age of sixteen. This is the breathtaking story of the doomed young queen as imagined by celebrated author Ann Rinaldi, powerfully evoking the drama, schemes, and surprising cruelty of the English court.
