Talivaldis Stubis was a prolific graphic designer and artist. He illustrated about two dozen children's books during his career including Sam's Place, Magic Secrets, and The Cookie Book. He also designed many iconic movie and theater posters, including, for Broadway, Funny Girl, Camelot, and Anyone Can Whistle; and for Hollywood, A Clockwork Orange, The Sting, and The Exorcist. He died after a long battle with amyloidosis in 2009 at the age of 83.
