When I was growing up in rural Australia in the 1970s, our nations 40,000 year human history was rarely acknowledged. I became fascinated by this hidden history and knew I had to write about it. The Feast of the Bunya has been my way of traveling back in time to meet the people and explore our vast Australian landscape before the first European settlers arrived. This was a book I had to write.I currently live with my family on a farm in northern New South Wales. Im passionate about farming, history, music (I play a passable honky-tonk piano) and, of course, writing. Despite an erratic and rather eclectic output, I have written and co-written eight books and published with major… mainstream and academic publishers. I hope you enjoy The Feast of the Bunya.
