David J. Anspaugh is Professor and Chair of the Health, Physical Education, and Sport Science Department at Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. He received his B.S. from Albion College, his M.S. from Eastern Michigan University, his P.E.D. from Indiana University, and his Ed.D. from the University of Tennessee. He is the author a new text on health promotion, published by McGraw-Hill. He has received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of Memphis and the Distinguished Advising Award from University College of the University of Memphis. David J. Anspaugh is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Memphis. He has extensive experience serving for various organizations, such as American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) and various regional branches of the organization. Recently, Anspaugh has served as president of the Indiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD). He is currently the President-Elect of Midwest District AAHPERD.
