John Matthewsis in charge of Contextual Studies across Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. He holds a PhD from Surrey for his doctoral research into performance training and is a recipient of the University of London Award for Excellence in the field of Drama. He has presented his research at international conferences and has published articles in arts magazines and academic journals including Performance Research (Routledge). He is a former editor of HUB arts magazine and co-editor of the forthcoming collection Ethics & Performance (Cambridge Scholars 2010).
