About the AuthorIrene Maceira Herrera was born in Montevideo, Uruguay.She came to the United States in 1972, and in the year 2000 discovered that breast cancer had left her with only four months to live.That same year her first grandson, Julian, was born. Her second grandchild, Enzo, was born in 2002. She credits the love of these two wonderful boys with saving her life.Through prayer, love, several treatment efforts and a healthful diet, she survived a terminal illness. She learned that life-changing diet-and several other things for which she's grateful-during her nearly two decades as a licensed massageand colon therapist at Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida.
